A Unique Golf School in a Relaxed Vacation Setting
Lessons at the Adirondack Foothills Golf Academy in Alder Creek are aimed at all golfers whether they are scratch players or beginners just starting out in our great game. Ours is a family-run operation and we like to give the kind of personal attention and instruction that fits our philosophy of doing business.

Our golf school is part of the Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn where we have an excellent course, designed by renowned architect Geoffrey Cornish. You'll be able to play on the course as well as attend our classes. You can also arrange to stay at our bed-and-breakfast inn.

Instruction is given on our outstanding newly developed practice facilities that include three special areas where you can work on all the parts of your game. Call us soon to find out what we can do for you, or Click Here to view our rates now.

Here is just some of what we offer you at our school:

We customize your instruction to fit your needs

We are not a formula school trying to enroll as many students as possible. This is our one and only location where we strive to give you personalized service that can make a real difference in your game and performance.

We are here to help you improve your skills that need improvement. You will leave our golf school with an understanding of the fundamentals of golf and with a special plan designed just for you so that you can continue your progress once you return home. It will not be prepackaged information that may not fit you or your game.

We offer video analysis and follow-up

We will take a video of your swing. We will review your tape and discuss what is good and what may need some help. We will make suggestions for your continued progress. If you return home and are experiencing problems, we encourage you to make a tape of your swing and send it to us. We'll review it and call you with a follow-up lesson.

You'll be part of a small class, not a big crowd

In order to grow and change, you need special attention. At Adirondack Foothills we have a student -teacher ratio of 4:1. Since we are not a volume-oriented school you will be taught by a PGA Class A Professional. Often times at large golf schools, students are taught by apprentices in a best case scenario, and sometimes by individuals with no PGA affiliation. That will not be the case at our school. Our instructors have extensive teaching experience. The best part of our school is the professional and personalized attention you'll receive.

You'll take your lessons on outstanding facilities, newly built to help our student

Our practice facility has three separate stations now that will allow you to work on all aspects of your game.

The first station is a short game area with putting, chipping and sand bunker opportunities. The second station is a traditional practice range where a number of people can hit balls and try out various clubs, aiming at flags.

The third station is an actual hole, a 350-yard par-4. It has a kidney-shaped green with two different sections, with a roll dividing the sections. There is a bunker on the left side of the green with large mounding. The entire area will remind you of many of the challenges you'll find on our course itself.

You will practice, using unique methods that we have tested on ourselves; for example, many times you'll be playing "backwards," starting with the short game and moving back to the long irons and fairway woods.
